CREDIT
UNION
MICRO-LENDING
During my voluntary teaching period at An Giang University,
I discovered that a majority of the students are from rural
areas within the province, with quite a few of them coming
from economically disadvantaged families. These students
have endured years of hardship and faced numerous challenges
to reach the university. Owing to cultural factors,
agricultural labour demand, and economic difficulties within
their families, numerous rural children are compelled to
abandon their schooling prematurely. Nevertheless, a few
exceptional students have exhibited remarkable resilience
under immense pressure, relying solely on their unwavering
determination to secure scholarships from both the school
and the government, enabling them to pursuing education all
the way to university. Despite the meagre amount of the
scholarships, they still manage to save a portion of the
funds to support their families. Their perseverance is
genuinely inspiring and heart-warming. By establishing a
credit union catering to the education sector can offer more
sustainable and far-reaching help to those in need.
